We are excited to host our 2026 Conference in Danville, Virginia from July 26-29, 2026. Our conference theme, "High Stakes and New Horizons: Planning with Purpose for Virginia's Communities," provides the opportunity for a variety of diverse sessions. The program will delve into various topics impacting planners throughout Virginia and include a variety of quick takes, lectures, and deep dives.
Previous topical areas featured in the Annual Conference program include sessions related to Comprehensive Planning, Community Engagement, Transportation, Economic Development, Infrastructure, Sustainability, Equity and Inclusion, Outdoor Recreation, Upskilling, and more.
While the Chapter seeks to recognize model projects and initiatives from across the State, we encourage presenters to share how the lessons learned in their jurisdiction may be implemented in jurisdictions across Virginia in their session proposal.
The Chapter welcomes session proposals until:
January 28, 2026 at 5pm
Late submissions may not be accepted.
